Second Statement from the Governing Body - Tuesday 18th June 2013
Dear all,
Following the latest release in today's Argus, we would like to confirm that the statement released on the website this morning still stands.
We are delighted that Cwmcarn High School will be back home on 1st September 2013.
The Council has agreed to undertake asbestos removal and remediation. It has guaranteed that the works will start immediately and that they will carry out all works required to ensure that the school is safe and ready for children to be back at their desks and lessons to start at the beginning of the new school year.
Statement from the Governing Body - Tuesday 18th June 2013
Following a meeting of the Governing Body on Monday night, the Governors voted for Option 2. The Council will co-ordinate the project and re-open the site on 2nd September so that it is fit for re-occupation.
We look forward to working with the Council again as this is in the best interests of the school community.
Thank you for your patience!
